stranded mitten knit

Knitting is worked in rounds (the equivalent of rows in flat knitting) in a spiral. I wanted to set out some basic knitting instructions as a refresher so here it is.

You could end up so good at it, and love it so much that you could start your own business. When you learn these simple stitches and stitch patterns, you can knit virtually any pattern that you wish. Separately knitted tubes can be applied to a knitted fabric to form complex Celtic knots and other patterns that would be difficult to knit.

Push the point of the right knitting needle in between the front of the first and second stitches, pointing the knitting needle to the right to feed the point through the first stitch keeping it under the left needle. People who are experienced in the art of knitting know the importance of using the best quality knitting yarn they can get hold of. Double-pointed needles are tapered at both ends, which allows them to be knit from either end.

Even if you're a pretty proficient knitter, this isn't the time to learn a new technique or work with a skinny fingering-weight yarn that will take forever to knit up. Good luck with your knitting.
