colarless knit jacket

I think when people try to learn to knit they choose the wrong pattern and the wrong supplies. Welcome to the wonderful world of knitting! Even if you've been here for a while, there is always something new about this most fascinating craft!

It can be a humbling experience to the perfectionist. I love the new kids needles that are about 7 inches long. I think when people try to learn to knit they choose the wrong pattern and the wrong supplies.

Extra curvature can be introduced into knitted garments without seams, as in the heel of a sock; the effect of darts, flares, etc. You could even teach a "keep up" class where people who have completed all three classes meet once a month or bimonthly to keep in touch with knitting. You can knit blankets for the elderly in cold climates, "comfort dolls" to comfort children with AIDS in Africa, or hats and scarves for the homeless.

It doesn't all happen at once. Be sure to try using other available resources, such as local craft and hobby stores.
