ear flap knit hat patterns

The process of knitting has three basic tasks: (1) the active (unsecured) stitches must be held so they don't drop; (2) these stitches must be released sometime after they are secured; and (3) new bights of yarn must be passed through the fabric, usually through active stitches, thus securing them. Anyone who has anything to do with knitting will know the importance of knitting yarns.

In securing the previous stitch in a wale, the next stitch can pass through the previous loop either from below or above. Knitting is an art from ancient times. Double-pointed knitting needles usually come in sets of four (US size 1, on right) or five (US size 8, on left).

A second potential difficulty is that the knitted piece will slide off the tapered end of the needles when unattended; this is prevented by "point protectors" that cap the tapered ends. The key to knitting for gifts is to keep things simple, use quality materials, and, if you want to knit several gifts, consider using one pattern multiple times. Knitting has been around for thousands of years, and probably always will be.

Patterns for knitting provide a strong outline and foundation for starting any new knitting project. Once you learn the basics of knitting, you will want to continue progressing to more advanced stitches and knitting patterns.
